I was elected as Warwick and Leamington's new MP at the 2010 General Election, having previously stood at the General Election in 2005. Before my election I worked locally in Public Relations, having previously worked at Longbridge with MG Rover. I live in Warwick, and play an active role in our local community, serving as a governor of Myton School and as a a trustee of the Warwickshire Association of Youth Clubs.

In Parliament, I am a member of the International Development Select Committee and have recently got my Private Member's Bill passed by Parliament - see the Social Value Bill Section above for more information. I am also co-chair of the Associate Parliamentary Manufacturing Group, vice-chair of the All Party Parliamentary Group on Poverty and Treasurer of the All Party Parliamentary Group on Social Enterprise.  I regularly speak in the House on issues relevant to the constituency - for more information see News.
